Here are some images from the exhibition I participated in last month in Tel Aviv.
This exhibition was a part of a project called "Shem Zmani" ("Temporary Name") ,
Temporary exhibitions that will pop up every month in a different vacant place in Tel Aviv.
Just before leaving Berlin I have participated in a collective exhibition at
"Tape Modern" (with, among others, Renaud Perriche)
where I did a piece named "Duel", a kind of dialectic between two ways of painting,
qui me preoccupe; une toile et une peinture murale, fait directement sur place.
Here (in Shem Zmani) I wanted to make a second Duel, in a less explicit way.
and at the same time to do a kind of "resume" of the work i have brought with me .
Working (almost) only with existing materials, without painting directly on the wall,
without "creating" new gestures.
the solution was the preexisting canvas (the same one as at Tape) + /
a collage with elements i had on paper
recreating a new dynamic with preexisting paintings and drawings in a new context.
